  4. Tashi Delek! I recently read and heard a few things that disturb me. Can anyone explain it to me? The thing is about happenings in India - I read that Dalai Lama forbade worshiping the deity which guarded the Yellow caps, making now people that go along with that and people who continue to worship. Looks as if he has created 2 pools :S The second thing I heard was that Dalai Lama starting to think or thinks that maybe peace isn't the way they should take to bringing back Tibet - is this true? I'm stuck within my beliefs that peace is still able to be through peace and not war... Explanations would be very nice Best regards, Namgyel

  6. Tashi Delek everyone! I have a question about yoga practices in Ljubljana, Slovenija. Last time on the Rinpoche's class we were talking about spring cleaning with salted water and bit about yoga. My question is - does anybody know a good yoga instructor (Ljubljana) and/or yoga book (English or Slovene)? Since I understood the teacher is better I think I would prefer him/her more than a book . Any help would be much appreciated! Best regards, Namgyel
  7. Thank you both! I'll try to read even more about this Best regards, Namgyel
  8. Tashi Delek, I was wondering - which dates are the ones that we take off the flags this year? In this link http://www.fpmt.org/resources/dates_explain.asp there are some dates that can be found, however I don't really understand which days are in Tibetan month (or are they in ours?). 29. NO PRAYER FLAGS - NPF According to Rinpoche, by hanging prayer flags including long prayer flags and banners) on the wrong dates, “you will continuously receive obstacles.†à¢-¢ Days 10, 22 of Months 1, 5, 9 à¢-¢ Days 7, 19 of Months 2, 6, 10 à¢-¢ Days 4, 16, 28 of Months 3, 7, 11 à¢-¢ Days 1, 13, 25 of Months 4, 8, 12 How do I know which day it is in our callendar? Best regards, Namgyel

  10. Everything below is my opinion : Eventhough this topic refers to the abortion, I have one question. Doesn't the government always have weird "solutions" to the so called problems? What makes me nervous is the fact that this is still a debate and not an action. We have so many problems in Slovenia on which we have (can't say it otherwise) unrealistic/unhumane sollutions (like the minorities being pushed arround as a pile of poo). In my oppinion we should start working with the problems. Instead of a problems being thrown at us we should here from them on TV, big posters in the city, radio etc. Most of the things we hear in our society are very contraversial to the morality of one's actions. Examples like the - Poultury Ptuj (I will never forget her breasts) - do they even know what they promote? Loss of many more lives, - or maybe abortion - it's not biologicly allive, has no heart beat etc.. so it's ok to kill it - NO I don't think so! This debate should take more care whether the being is alive or not (In my opinion it is allive), - or maybe buying stuff you absolutely do not need (like the Gorenje big screen TV so you can watch more stuff that makes you less focus, less present, less human...) We are developed society, we have (even the porer) - the possibility to live a spiritual life, to have everything we need (a plasma screen most of the population Does't need ) and to create as much positive karma as possible. So also as a result of developed society we could cut down the working hours of men and women, have more employees, and have more equal money receievment, then we could live better - and we could really focus on the part of children being born. That I don't go away too far - In my opinion the thing that we should have more is education. Not the education we have in school: "Not again!! That old ..... will bug us again with the sexuality, pregnany etc.!" - rather than that we should promote more on media the things people should know and that all things have some sort of backfire (a action has an reaction). As for the now idea of paying the abortion - the sweetest fruit is the forbidden one. There will be more black market and deaths as said before since the place, the doctor and everything else will be made uncontrolled... which I think is said since we could work things out in the first place by talking or any other civil way. Best regards, Namgyel

  15. By that you're risking that the hunter will go the right way (for him). I feel the same, however to lie is not to answer. I remember Lama Shenphen once said on the teaching that before saying anything count to 10. When we lie, we should honestly and openly ask our self is it necessary? Will it benefit anyone? For to do something non-virtues we must be 100 % sure that it will benefit sentient beings. Does lying to your children about the cookies help anyone? Instead I think we should teach them about honesty, open relationship. This is my opinion . Best regards, Namgyel
  16. There is also National Geographic's documentary Skrivnostno kraljestvo Tibeta (think it is the secret kingdom of Tibet) that will be sold from 9th till 22nd August with Delo. Short rewiev is here. Best regards, Namgyel
  17. I would like to point out maybe one other thing... When you think you don't know the person or that you would hurt her by telling the truth - you should rather think if you're not trying to prevent your ego to be hurt. I know in my case that many times when I thought that I would hurt people by telling them something, I actually tried to prevent the changes that were being made to me. About mother son relationship. - if I understood correctly, in all lives that passed weren't all sentient beings our mothers or people close to us? Don't they all deserve to know the truth and not to be lied to (when it is not necessery)? You gave the marriage for example. Isn't the basis for great relationship honesty, reality, love, compassion and openess of ones mind? When you are with person - isn't it easier and nicer if you talk trouble through and give each other advices? When you don't lie you also have nothing to hide, nothing to clear, less to lose... you are able to help and see things more clearly. That is at least in my opinion... Best regards, Namgyel
  18. Tashi Delek, I agree with Ani and also think that the basic problem is the question why to lie. In example in the bodhisattva vowes one must lie in order to save other lives. Let's say a deer or an animal runs by you and some time after that a hunter also goes near you. He asks where did the deer or other animal in that case go. If you tell him the truth the animal will surely die - therefor you should lie in my opinion. But regarding the things you written above - do you really save lifes? I mean confronting people with reallity might be painful but at least it is the truth and there is lesser chance that they would idealize things comming. For example dieing person tells his relatives he's going to die. They know now that for a fact and they can adapt themselves to it. However not telling them the seriousness of the situation might prevent them from praying, helping etc. Those who are not prepared for these things shouldn't be told and the reason - I don't want to talk about it - is quite good. Better that than giving them false ideas and get crushed by reallity later. Talking the truth or staying silent are the best ways there can be - lying should be a resort one takes only to save lives! At least this is how I feel about situation.... Best regards, Namgyel
  19. I'll let my brother know - thank you Best regards, Namgyel
  20. I agree. Best regards, Namgyel
  21. I think some answers may be found here: http://www.cosmicharmony.com/Av/Milarepa/Milarepa.htm Best regards, Namgyel
  22. I do agree that the victim suffers but that victim will live in a world where (s)he has all the opportunity to learn Dharma and a way to liberation. It's not a good thing to punish all who did wrong. By some people (a lot) has right the opposit effect - they grow even more violent and disastered. is a good recourse for her to deal with her pain and grow I agree that a person will grow after receiving that much suffering at once. However - do you think that the victim will grow compassion/enlightenment because his attacker is in jail? And will this really help both of them? In my opinion this is a matter which we take to lightly, we don't think of the consequences - we may help one by being safe, however we may have doomed the other. Our society is getting more and more bloodthirsty - the prison is just part of this bloodthirstyness.... What I want to say is - we are in modern times and not middle ages, Rome etc. Do we really need this kind of prisons? Do we need this kind of negative view on the people who did something wrong? The problem is not in prisons, victims, attackers... it's in core of our society. We judge (as I also did in previous post about Adyashanti ) and we become bloodthirsty. Instead of working on that and trying to change it - our society in a way even promotes (here I'm more refering to America) bloodshed. We MUST develop understanding, compassion toward all - as the victim and also the attacker otherwise we won't be able to surpass all that negative influence we receive from TV, newspapers etc. And all that is possible since it has been done (Tibet for example had very low crime rate if I understood correctly) also on our gounds before Slovenia took it's shape. Best regards, Namgyel
  23. I agree with Khyenrab and do apologize myself too for quick judging. I'm wondering is there any person that could confirm his authentication as a teacher? Best regards, Namgyel
  24. Agreed - primary socializations are the most important. If the person is lost there it's very hard to repair the damage. However I think that is still better to do that than to throw people in prisons - in a society which is even more currupt than the one he was already in. I'm not talking about the people who won't even begin to change in this lifetime, which in my opinion is very sad but about the people who may change and are not completely destroyed. This reminds me about the story of Milarepa. He was a black sorcerer if I'm not mistaken and later on has with propour guidance enlightened himself... I think that all beings should be able to get to Dharma and by putting them in prison we prevent many from that. I agree there should be a place for people who did terrible crime - but in my opinion this prison that we have isn't the answer... Best regards, Namgyel
  25. With this person I get the fealing that he talks something different that he achieved.... He defines himself as a buddhist in the video... he has even his own Sangha ( http://www.adyashanti.org/index.php?file=sangha ). Is this the degeneration of which to be feared? Best regards, Namgyel
