Najslabšo oceno je prejel "Sadni čaj fratra Bernarda z okusom gozdnih sadežev", ki ga izdeluje Herba medica d.o.o. Fotografija čaja: http://www.herba-medica.si/caji-in-ostalo/ Ta čaj (z največjo vsebnostjo pesticidov na testu in "slabim" okusom) naj bi bil sicer izbran na javnem razpisu in naj bi ga večkrat dnevno pilo več kot 8.000 otrok v vrtcih v Ljubljani!   3. It seems that there are two ways of connecting "the political" with "the Buddhist". At some point religious ideas can also be applied on the wider, societal level (like the question of abortion, euthanasia, spread of wealth, use of military force etc.). E.g. Gandhi being a good example of this. And secondly, there are some characteristics that in a simplified version of political reality can be attributed to the people of left or right-wing political orientation, as the latter is somehow based also on individual's psychology. Some good some bad, depending mostly on the concrete application, I guess. But in any way, this question is not to be generalized on the concrete political situation, as politicians from all sides can be (or even tend to be) corrupt.
  4. Good evening , Each person has a kind of set of values that are eventually also societal (i.e. they relate also to the arrangement of common matters in the society), so they are also political. There are various ways of theoretical distribution of such political beliefs, more or less conceptually complicated, the most simple being two-sided: left-wing or right-wing orientation. Beside the dogmatical systemization of political views, more interesting seems their psychological origin - and above mentioned right v. left wing orientation seems to be primarily based on the relation of each individual towards the authority. To simplify: left-wing rejects authority, right-wing accepts authority, in its extreme left-wing is anarchism (no authority at all), right wing fascism (completely blind adoration of authority). I.e. one can easily see this pattern in Slovene right and left wing (why some parties on the left dissolved, how the right wing is under one man's command - united and more dedicated). Left-wing is more about thinking (reason), self-depreciation (humor), ressentiment, social causes, rights of minorities and human rights, right-wing is more about faith, loyalty, respect, taking oneself (too) seriously and about being able and willing to take care of oneself, not depending on others. To find the proposal of the law, go here http://www.vlada.si/si/delo_vlade/gradiva_v_obravnavi/ and then search a part of the name of the law (Zakon o šolski prehrani) with ctrl+f. ---- Zakon o šolski prehrani je zdaj na vladi - sodeč po hitrem pregledu (ctrl+f vege), je ministrstvo povsem ignoriralo naše pripombe . In practice the structure (variety) of vegetarian food is often insufficient (lacking something) due to expert or economic reasons and as such even harmful for the health and that's why it is not recommended in general. V praksi je sestava vegetarijanske prehrane zaradi strokovnih in ekonomskih vzrokov pogosto pomanjkljiva in kot taka zdravju celo škodljiva in je zato splošno ne priporočajo.   8. Good morning/Dobro jutro, English version: There is an article about this in today's Dnevnik. They checked a few schools, some have around 40 vegetarians (out of 400 pupils). Some schools adapt others don't, so I guess there is no clear rule. OŠ Ledina has vegetarian snack, but no vegetarian lunch (since lunches are prepared elsewhere, where they don't cook vegetarian), some schools have both vegetarian options (OŠ Trnovo, OŠ Karel Destovnik Kajuh, OŠ Fužine - the latter without tofu and such "special foods"). The champion of anti-vegetarianism is the principal of OŠ Prule, Dušan Merc: "Special food needs are for us only needs, which are derived from health reasons, not out of world view or belief of the parents. We wouldn't prepare special meals even for extra payment. Food must be in accordance with the doctrine of eating, which is based on the needs of people, who are growing up." Last time I checked the Constitution the right of parents to raise their children in accordance with their beliefs was above the opinion of a principal . Parents have the right to provide their children with a religious and moral upbringing in accordance with their beliefs (41st article). As long as both meat eating and vegetarian eating diet can be healthy for children, state should allow parents to choose among both options, no? Pregledali so nekaj šol, nekatere imajo okrog 40 vegetarijancev (od 400 učencev). Nekatere šole se prilagodijo, druge ne, torej očitno ni jasnega pravila. OŠ Ledina ima vegetarijansko malico, a ne kosila (kosila pripravljajo drugje, kjer ne kuhajo vegetarijansko), druge šole nudijo oba vegetarijanska obroka (OŠ Trnovo, OŠ Karel Destovnik Kajuh, OŠ Fužine - slednja brez tofuja ipd.   9. A 25 minutes documentary, a compilation of statements from the ordinary Tibetans about His Holiness the Dalai Lama, Olympic games, China in general. Filmed by two Tibetans, amateurs, who traveled around Tibet on a motorbike and asked people for their opinion. The tapes were smuggled to the West. Both film-makers were consequently imprisoned in China and are now awaiting trial. The footage was smuggled out of Tibet under extraordinary circumstances. The filmmakers were detained soon after sending their tapes out, and remain in detention today. In a remarkable coincidence, filming concluded in early March 2008 on the eve of the eruption of unprecedented mass Tibetan protests across the Tibetan plateau. Shot primarily in the eastern provinces of Tibet, the film provides a glimpse into the hearts and minds of the Tibetan people and their longstanding resentment of Chinese policies in Tibet. The filmmakers traversed thousands of miles, asking ordinary Tibetans what they really feel about the Dalai Lama, China, and the Olympic Games. The filmmakers gave their subjects the option of covering their faces, but almost all of the 108 people interviewed agreed to have their faces shown on film, so strong was their desire to express themselves to the world.   12. Good evening, Among the most popular toys for young girls nowadays are dolls called Winx. Similar to Barbies. As one can see http://www.winxigre.org/winx-make-up.php these dolls are build completely unproportionately - their legs are almost 2/3 of their whole body, they are very slim, tall, supposedly good looking with perfect figure, heavy make-up, they can wear only high-heels, have an abundance of clothes etc. It's no secret that toy manufacturers invest millions in "profiling" children, in creating ways of "hooking them" (since children tend to love kitsch ), knowing that the easiest way to seal the deal is by getting the child to pressure the parents to buy him or her something . Once the product-doll is sold, the girls are given the image of an unrealistic womanhood, with lots of subliminal "commercial" messages, aimed to transform them in avid consumers. I wouldn't be surprised, if there is a connection between playing with such dolls in early childhood and developing eating disorders like bulimia in adolescence or later on . No to say that all toys-dolls are inappropriate. Many are very nice and can help the child to develop some beneficial characteristics, like caretaking etc . The question would be: what if a child gets acquainted with such "perversely commerciall" dolls either through friends or through gifts from other people - and likes it - should one just take the toys away, although the child might not be able to understand such act as beneficial (due to attachment ), or is it an exaggeration to think that playing with such dolls can be psychologically damageful in the long term ?   13. Good morning , It seems that when we try to observe our mind, we can eventually notice "gross" aspects of tricks our ego is playing with us. Yet, since ego seems to be so strong, even in this self-critical reflection, the ego is already present, saying to ourselves how good we are for being so self critical. The question would be: when we indulge in such self-reflecting dialectics (a sort of analytical meditation, I guess) does this represent spiritual progress (since we make effort to notice ego tricks, yet are unable to completely irradicate them through analysis, and instead ego trick surface on a new level), or is it all just a waste of time (i.e. the ego is just trying to grab it's tail - a fruitless game intended to give ourselves the false feeling of spiritual progress). If the latter answer is correct, I wonder, what is the right way to progress through analysis on our level, when we are not yet developed enough to out-root the ego completely. Thank You . Budistična kongregacija Dharmaling je organizirala dobrodelno predstavo tibetanskih menihov iz Sera Jhe samostana v Indiji (informacije o dogodku z nekaj fotografijami najdete tukaj: http://www.napovednik.com/dogodek114822_svete_pesmi_in_plesi_tibeta). Tv oddaja Duhovni utrip je posnela nekaj izsekov nastopa in intervjujala Lamo Shenpen Rinpočeja (http://tvslo.si/predvajaj/duhovni-utrip/ava2.47480839/) (glej prvih 7:20 minut, Rinpočejeve izjave so v angleščini s slovenskimi podnapisi).
  15. Pred kratkim je bil imenovan nov direktor vladnega Urada za verske skupnosti (UVS). To je Aleš Gulič, nekdanji poslanec LDS, ki je v zadnjem mandatu dvakrat vložil t.im. Guličev predlog verskega zakona v parlamentarno proceduro (predlog je pripravila Budistična kongregacija Dharmaling). Guličevo imenovanje je sprožilo veliko protestov s strani največje verske skupnosti Katoliške cerkve (za Dharmalingovo mnenje o Guličevem imenovanju glej Rinpočejev prispevek na blogu - v angleščini). Novo imenovani direktor UVS je organiziral medijsko zelo pokrito srečanje s predstavniki registriranih verskih skupnosti. Tudi časopis Dnevnik je poročal o dogodku. Spodaj je odlomek, ki se nanaša na Rinpočejev prispevek. "Borut Pahor je pozval udeležence posveta, naj izkoristijo njegovo prisotnost in spregovorijo o svojih problemih. Za to se je po nelagodni tišini odločil le budistični lama Shenpen Rinpoče, drugi so o svojih težavah govorili po premierjevem odhodu. Lamo je zanimalo, ali so v vladi preučili predloge njihove skupnosti za spremembo spornih členov zakona o verski svobodi in ali so sploh pripravljeni odpreti pandorino skrinjico teh problemov. Pahor je odgovoril, da si "želi zakon, v katerem bi se prepoznale vse VS, toda zdaj mora to skrinjico najprej odpreti in zapreti ustavno sodišče". Kasneje se je lama oglasil še enkrat in bil zelo kritičen do izvajanja duhovne oskrbe v bolnišnicah in zaporih. Kot je povedal, si njihovi verniki včasih ne upajo prositi za posredovanje zdravstvenih delavcev, saj se ti tem prošnjam posmehujejo. Po njegovem bi moral vsak bolnik dobiti brošuro, v kateri bi se lahko seznanil s pravicami in možnostmi, ki jih ima, obiskovanje duhovnikov in duhovnih spremljevalcev pa bi lahko olajšali z izdelavo registra obiskovalcev."   16. V reviji GEA je bil objavljen članek o slovenski "verski sceni". Odlomek, ki zadeva Budistično kongregacijo Dharmaling: Med religijami, ki pri nas pridobivajo največ članov, gre omeniti tudi budizem. Veliko zaslug ima lama Shenpen Rinpoče, ki vodi budistično kongregacijo z imenom Dharmaling v Ljubljani in s svojo karizmo navdušuje mnoge posameznike. Srečujejo se predvsem v ljubljanskem budističnem templju, ki na prvi pogled ne daje videza templja, a prepriča z duhovnostjo in meditacijo. Poiskati velja način, kako lahko meditiramo ves čas. Seveda se boste na začetku srečali z egom, ki bi rad zdivjal, ampak po določenem času bo šlo lažje in meditacijo boste lahko izvajali od jutra do noči, od noči do jutra med učenjem, vrtnarjenjem, čiščenjem stanovanja, vožnjo avtomobila…« Da bi med vožnjo meditirala?! »Pojasnite mi, kako se to počne,« sem ga poprosila. »Z eno pomembno stvarjo imamo veliko težav,« je začel odgovarjati, »to je prisotnost v trenutku ne glede na to, kaj počnemo. Ker nismo prisotni v trenutku, v tem, kar počnemo, se nam neredko zgodi, da prismodimo jed ali denimo opraskamo avto. Včasih se nam primeri, da nekam potujemo in se začudimo, kako hitro smo tja prispeli. Prav ta odsotnost prisotnosti ustvarja prostor, ki buri naše emocije. V takih trenutkih se naš um ne zaveda in če se pojavi kaka stresna situacija, postanemo jezni ali ljubosumni. Namen meditacije je, da se začnemo zavedati vsakega trenutka življenja, da bi od vsakega trenutka življenja imeli kar največ koristi, da se ne bi izgubljali v nepomembnih stvareh, ki v naših glavah le ustvarjajo hrup. Ko torej kuham, vrtnarim ali počnem karkoli drugega, se poskušam temu povsem posvetiti, da bi to početje transformiral v mirno, plodno dejavnost. Ne le, da bo hrana boljšega okusa, tudi um bo prisotnejši.« ... Da bi občutili blagodejne učinke meditacije, ne potrebujete leta in leta, pravi lama. »Čutite jih že prvič; napetost popusti, občutite mir, pa čeprav le za kratek čas. Dlje ko vadite, bolj se boste tega zavedali.« In ja, prav bo prišla tudi otrokom, je prepričan. »Krasna metoda za učenje mirnega reševanja konfliktov!« ... Toda pridiha religioznosti med marsikaterim pogovorom ni bilo moč odgnati. »Meditacija sama po sebi ni verska praksa,« je ocenil predstojnik budistične kongregacije. »Samo orodje je, s katerim nadziramo um. Lahko se je lotijo tako ljudje, ki verujejo, kot ateisti. Bolj ko meditirate, bolj ste v stiku z različnimi vidiki sebe in sveta in neizbežno se vam pojavijo številna vprašanja. In ko se vam nabere določena mera teh eksistencialnih vprašanj, se zna zgoditi, da boste začeli iskati odgovore nanje. Tej poti pa rečemo vera.«
