Mental quietness and diet

Recommended Posts

Tashi delek,

I came accross the statement of His Holiness in Illuminating the Path to Enlightenment, when commenting the Lamp for the Path, that "if conditions for cultivating single-pointedness of mind and calm abiding are not complete, all your efforts to attain it will be waisted." And, of five conditions, the fourth one is "an appropriate diet and avoidance of excessive eating."

I can very much understand the second part of that condition :) ; what about the appropriate diet, what would that mean?

All the very best,

Pamo
