Lama  Shenphen Rinpoche met with Bishop Tone Jamnik, as representative of the Bishop Conference, deputy of Archbishop Uran.The two main topic of the meeting were: - the relationship between the Buddhist Congregation Dharmaling and the Roman Catholic Church. Rinpoche emphasized that both religions are supporting some common ethical values and promoting an active Compassion .- the creation of an inter-religious council which would gather the leaders of the world religions, to discuss important matters in both religious and civil society. Bishop Tone Jamnik expressed his agreement with proceeding on both topics and how important is the inter-religious dialogue. He will expose the content of the meeting to the Bishop Conference at their next meeting. |
