Important : assignment of 0.5% of income taxes
for Slovenia

Individuals obliged to pay the income tax were given a chance to fill in a rubric titled »Zahteva za namenitev dela dohodnine« - Demand for the assignment of the part of the income tax in their Declaration on the assessment of the income tax for the year 2006. In this rubric they could enter the tax number of the organization(s) to which they wish to assign up to 0,5 % of their annual income tax (this 0,5 % they would otherwise have to give to the state budget with the rest of their income tax).

Individuals, who were not obliged to pay the income tax in 2006 (because they were e.g. not employed or didn't have enough income) and taxpayers who didn't choose any organization in its income tax form or who would like to change their choice, can do so at any time through the system eDavki (eTaxes) on the web site http://edavki.durs.si or in a written or oral form on the record at the tax office. The choice is valid until the moment, when the tax office receives a new choice or the cancellation of the existing choice.
Taxpayers can choose one or more organizations (functioning on the fields determined to be socially beneficial), and can assign to an individual organization 0,1 %, 0,2 %, 0,3 %, 0,4 % or 0,5 % their income tax, to all of the organizations together at the most 0,5 %.

The list of the organizations is published on the web site of the Tax Administration (1). On the list is also "Budistična kongregacija Dharmaling" - Melikova 1, Ljubljana". Our tax number is: 30201144.

The data from the assignment of the income tax are considered to be a tax secret and cannot be revealed to others unles the taxpayer, who assigned a part of his income tax for donations, allows it in a written form.
