Ljubljana Center Location Print

LOCATION

Melikova Street is located close to the center of Ljubljana, on the side of Orlova ulica and Dolenska cesta. The house is easily accessible by train and buses. Less than 2 km from the center of Ljubljana, it is also quickly accessible by bicycles, and permits to visit the center and most of Ljubljana’s hotspots this way. The house is surrounded by a garden in a quiet residential area.

How to come
1. By Bus:
The bus line 3 which runs every 15 minutes has a bus stop on Dolenska Cesta just in front of Orlova Ulica. Exit on station Strelisce. There is 5 minutes walk to the house.
2. By train:
From the main station take the line of Novo Mesto, the trip is only about 13 minutes.
Exit on station Lj – Rakovnik, there is a little walk of less than 5 minutes to the house.
3. By plane:
Closest airport in Slovenia is “Ljubljana-Brnik”. Upon arrival, you can take a taxi till the house, or a shuttle till Ljubljana center and then take the bus.
4. By car:
From outside Ljubljana take the exit “Jug” which leads you directly on Dolenska Cesta. Then proceed on Dolenska cesta till Orlova Ulica. On Orlova Ulica turn left just after the railway station, Melikova is the first road on the right

Notice:
1. Parking
The Melikova street is a small street; therefore, please do not park anywhere, blocking the passage. Park your car only on parking places at the beginning of the street (close to kindergarten or mini-market). The distance to walk is short, and everyone will be happy.

2. Noise
If you come along with few persons, for teaching or practice, remember that this area is residential and quiet. Please, do not shout or make noise, speaking loud oustide, specially at evening or night.

Stopping for a night or more, coming for a seminar, a teaching, a healing, visiting Ljubljana, staying at our house is more than finding a hotel room. It is benefiting from the atmosphere of a Buddhist center, located in a calm area of the capital. We have three two beds rooms, with private bathroom, internet connection, and a common dinning room.

During your stay, you have also the possibility to take there your breakfast, lunch and/or dinner. All food in the house is vegetarian (not vegan). You will be able to taste simple, yet balanced and healthy meals. In the dinning room you can find tea and hot water all day long.
If you do not have your own portable computer, you can check your emails on a computer let at your disposal in the corner of the dinning-room. The occupancy of the rooms is non-profit, and therefore donation-based (donations are used for the sole purpose of our declared activities) Nevertheless, for us to maintain our activity, we do suggest you a minimum donation:
